Festival Account
All volunteers participating in the Festival are required to create or update a free Festival account. Our Festival Ticketing team will soon update your Festival accounts at festival.sundance.org to ensure your profile and volunteer benefits are active in our system. You will receive an email from sundancesupport@sundance.org with the subject line “Order Confirmation – 2026 Sundance Film Festival” and we can confirm this is a valid email.
To confirm benefits, simply login to festival.sundance.org to activate your account. If you do not do this, we cannot print your Credential and you will experience delays at Volunteer Check-In. It is important to use the same email address as your Volunteer Application or this will not process correctly.
- From a computer browser, click “Sign In/Register” at the top of this page or at festival.sundance.org.
- Click on “My Account” to update your information and upload a clear headshot as your profile picture. This photo and information may be used for the Festival Credential that volunteers receive. If there are errors with the photo or information, you can expect delays in receiving your credential at Volunteer Check-In.
- Please note that you cannot update your Festival account photo on a mobile device at this time.
Bloomerang Volunteer
Bloomerang Volunteer (linked here) is the platform that volunteers use to sign up for shifts, view schedules, and keep track of their hours of service. Once shifts and your schedule are live, you’ll get a follow up email with more details on how to login.
Once you’ve logged into Bloomerang Volunteer, click on “My Opportunities” to view which pages you’ve been added to and select your venue/department from there. The Opportunity is the homepage for your Festival team and is where you will sign up for shifts or view your schedule when the time comes. For more details on Bloomerang Volunteer, feel free to review our step by step guide (linked here). You can also download the free Bloomerang Volunteer app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store!
Litmos
Each volunteer will be required to complete a set of online trainings before the Festival starts via Litmos – our learning management system. You now have access to login and complete some of your assigned volunteer trainings, and you can click this link to log into Litmos now!
Enter the email you used to submit an application and click “Forgot Password” to set a new password for the season. If you have any questions or problems logging in, reach back out and our team can help you from there. All currently assigned trainings will be under your Dashboard under To-Do items. More training may be added to your account over the coming weeks and you’ll receive email notifications when those are ready for you to complete. Check Litmos often, and please take time to complete all training by Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Note that you will experience delays at Volunteer Check-In if trainings are not completed.

For these screenings, please do not share social media posts, reviews, or images from the screening until after the film has officially screened at the Festival. For those that are within the select number in line for a screening, Part Time Volunteers can exchange one (1) of their given film vouchers for a ticket and Full Time Volunteers can show their photo credential for access. Waitlist Check-in and number selected for each screening opens two (2) hours before the published start time and registration for the waitlist can be found on our festival.sundance.org program guide or in the Festival app. The Waitlist opens two (2) hours prior to the start of a film. Once you receive a Waitlist number, join the public waitlist line at the designated theater 30 minutes before the published start time. A waitlist number does not guarantee admittance, and the number of people taken into the screening from the waitlist will vary by screening and capacity. Volunteers can see a film through the waitlist by exchanging a volunteer voucher if they are Part Time or by showing their photo credential if they are Full Time.
Volunteer Film Access - Online Short Films Pass
In addition to the in-person film vouchers, all volunteers will receive a complimentary Short Films Pass, valid online at festival.sundance.org from January 29 to February 1, 2026. The Short Films Pass grants unlimited online access to a curated collection of Festival short films. There is no international access for this pass. The Online Short Films Pass will be made available to you just before the Festival!
Guest Vouchers
Part Time Volunteers who reach 32 hours of service can exchange any number of their Festival film vouchers for Guest Vouchers. Full Time Volunteers who are local or have booked their own lodging will receive 4 Guest Vouchers.
This voucher can ONLY be used in the Volunteer/Staff line with a valid Volunteer Credential by a Festival Volunteer. Guests of a Volunteer without a credential may ONLY use this voucher for the e-Waitlist line. The voucher holder must register for the eWaitlist using your Festival account via the Festival website and/or app. The eWaitist is available for all sold out screenings two hours prior to the start of a film. You will receive an eWaitlist number when you register and you must arrive at the theater at least 30 minutes before the published start time. Sign up for the Waitlist is not available in person, you must register through the Festival website or mobile app. A Waitlist number does not guarantee admittance.
Volunteer Film Access - Press & Industry Screenings (P&I)
Volunteers and staff can present credentials for admittance to Press and Industry screenings (held at Holiday Village Cinemas from January 22 to January 28, 2026, if space is available). Volunteers may arrive 30 minutes before the screening time to check availability. Volunteers and staff may be asked to relinquish their seats anytime during these screenings, as space will be limited and is primarily reserved for industry members. For the full P&I schedule, visit the link here or stop by the Volunteer Hub at HQ!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
When should I know my volunteer schedule?
- It depends on your Volunteer type! For Part Time Sign Up Volunteers, your designated Sign Up Day, or when you can login to Bloomerang Volunteer to select and add your own shifts, will be in mid-December. If you are a Full Time or Part Time Assigned Volunteer, schedules will start releasing in late December through the beginning of January. More information will be shared in coming newsletters and reach out to your Volunteer Coordinator if you have questions about when you can expect your specific schedule!
What should I pack? Is there a dress code for volunteering or for my role?
- There is no dress code for volunteers! The only thing we require for volunteers to wear is their credential whenever they are on shift or navigating the Festival. We recommend bringing anything you might need to be warm and comfortable, and plan to pack for snowy conditions and wear layers. Volunteers will receive a Festival jacket but are not required to wear them while indoors or on shift.
What if I have to cancel or drop out of volunteering for SFF26?
- The Late Cancellation Deadline for volunteers is December 14, 2025. If you have already been confirmed to volunteer, canceling after this deadline may impact your standing with us for future opportunities. If you have to cancel for the 2026 Festival, please reach out to your Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible.
What do I do if I can’t make it to Volunteer Check-In?
- Volunteer Check-In is required for all volunteers to participate at the Festival and is where they will receive their credential, benefits, and information related to their volunteer assignment. If you are unable to attend Salt Lake City Check-In, you will need to attend Park City Check-In. If you can’t make it to any check-in event, you can have someone else check in for you. You must complete the Check-In Authorization Form before they arrive and the person checking in for you must show a copy of your ID. More details around Volunteer Check-In will be provided in future newsletters!
